Remineralizers
Troubleshooting GH/KH remineralizer calculations, component solubility issues, and TDS measurement in prepared water
Inaccurate GH/KH calculation results
Problem: Obtained hardness values don't match expected ones
Solution:
- Check correctness of reagent mass input
- Ensure component solubility data is correct
- Check test with calibration solution
Remineralizer doesn't dissolve completely
Reason: Solubility of one of the components exceeded
Solution:
- Check solubility limits
- Increase water volume for dissolution
- Use step-by-step component dissolution
Incorrect TDS in prepared water
Reason: Not all dissolved substances are accounted for or calculation error
Solution:
- Check TDS of each component separately
- Check TDS meter with 0.9% sodium chloride calibration solution (saline). 1 ml of saline increases TDS by 9 ppm in 1 L of RO water. This way you can check different measurement ranges by gradually adding 1 ml of saline to a container with RO water.
- Compare calculated and measured TDS values
- Selected reagent is not in the remineralizer calculation system (notify support)
